To entertain, enrich, and energize audiences of all ages, by showcasing the talent of an ageless cast, 60-plus years young, in a variety show style, with music, dance and comedy is the primary Follies mandate.

Its beginning was both humble and energetic, starting in 1972, by a dynamic senior, Christine Hamilton at a local recreation center.  Her venture was based on the premise that age presents no barrier.  The project became the award-winning show that it is today. 

A testimony to the success of the Follies is the 30-plus years of sold-out theatres at Hamilton Place and at other venues in Canada and the United States.  The Follies leading performances take place at the acclaimed Hamilton Place Theatre, each June and December.

Hailed as ambassadors for active living despite the barrier of age, the Follies promote the message, ‘You are never too old’.  Entertaining, enriching, and energizing audiences of all ages is what the Follies is all about.
