What’s the Talk

“It’s a great big nostalgic romp … the Geritol Follies distills feel-good entertainment into glorious high art,” states Gary Smith, of The Hamilton Spectator.

“The Geritol Follies is an inspiration not just to all seniors, but to all of us in the community.  I have really enjoyed watching and listening to them, their enthusiasm and energy is contagious.  Having a wonderful organization, which provides an opportunity of expressing dance and music, is a terrific social network and a great resource for our community,”  stated by Judy Marsales, MPP for Hamilton West.

“This fast-paced hometown review, celebrating the irrepressible joy of Hamilton senior citizens, is currently sprinkling waters from the fountain of youth over everything in sight,” said by Gary Smith, of the Hamilton Spectator.

“I joined the Follies in the fall of 1993 and have never looked back. I guess there’s a big ham in all of us and I definitely found mine! All of the experiences I have had since joining have been so very positive – I even wake up singing the songs in my head -  I just keep going,”  stated by Anne Orriss, a Follies Performer.

“The physical and mental aspects, along with the fellowship has made growing old a pleasure.  The challenges and endurance that being active both physically and mentally and continually applying something new – this keeps us sharp!  It is a pleasure to apply laughter to others, and this is rejuvenating in itself,”  stated by Bob Nelson, a Follies Performer.
